OUR STORY
A camera, a drone, and a love of the game.
The first event we covered was a youth football championship in 2019. One camera, no plan, a parent’s tip that “the kids would love some photos.” We delivered fifty shots that weekend. Forty of them got framed.
What started as a favor turned into a Saturday habit, then a side hustle, then a full studio. What never changed was the philosophy: athletes deserve photos that look like the magazine covers they’ve imagined themselves on. Programs deserve a media partner that shows up early, stays late, and treats every game like a championship.
Today, Blue Marble is a three-shooter team with a licensed drone pilot, covering 14 programs weekly during peak season. We’ve shot Friday night football under the lights, state semifinal basketball games, baseball doubleheaders that ended after dark, drone fly-overs of regional invitationals, and more senior portraits than we can count.
Our work lives on Instagram (24,000+ and growing), on SmugMug where families and athletes can purchase prints directly, and on the walls of homes across the Carolinas. We don’t watermark over faces. We don’t gate galleries. We don’t take photos of athletes for our own portfolio without giving the athlete the right to them too.
